Greetings! 
My name is Pastor Robert Hein and I love serving God's people at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Sharing the good news of Jesus is a joy and delight.

I have been serving at Good Shepherd for 11 years.

I have been blessed to be married to my wife Carolyn, and we have three wonderful children, Eric, Rachel, and Laura.

My goal is to help us grow in our connection with the Lord through his Word, to build connections with one another through fellowship and joyful service, and to build connections with the people of our community through the power of the Gospel

I am Pastor John H. Paustian.  I have served at Good Shepherd since the beginning of 1986.  My wife, Miriam, who teaches kindergarten in our school, is in her 25th year of serving here as a teacher.  We have two sons, Pastor John Michael Paustian and Joshua Paustian.  John and his wife Robin live in Morgan, MN.  They have two children, Eleanor Nicole and John Henry.  Our son, Joshua, lives in Bayview and works as an assistant to the production manager at Storage Battery Systems.
 

I find joy in helping people find their confidence in the faithful, unchanging love of the Good Shepherd who laid down his life for them. 

As sheep, we are not equipped to pick the right path, protect ourselves from dangers or provide for our own needs.  But we are not harassed and helpless!  The Good Shepherd has found us—that is our joy! 

Our mission is to tell others that he is looking for them.

In 2003 Good Shepherd congregation called me to join their pastoral staff.  I had retired from full time service as the WELS's Vice President of Mission and Ministry.  Before that had been 37 years of pastoral ministry beginning with the first mission outreach in Canada and then for many years in one of our largest congregations.

Nothing brings more joy than to  preach the good news of salvation, or to lead the ever growing Senior Bible Class into deeper knowledge of our Savior, or to comfort the sick and shut ins with the promises of our loving Lord.

Thank you and the Lord for giving me the opportunity to share that joy with you as we grow together in his Word.
